Katko Declares Victory Following Election Night Landslide

Syracuse, N.Y. - Republican Congressman John Katko routed Democratic Congressional Candidate Dana Balter.

At the end of Early Voting and Election Day counting Rep. John Katko is up more than 21 points. He has declared victory over Balter.

More than 70,000 absentees still need to be counted in the district. Dozens more are expected to trickle in over the next day or so.

Should the Election Night results stand, it will be Katko's most decisive victory, yet. In 2018, Balter was the only person to come lose by single digits to Katko. In 2020, she may lose by the largest margin yet. In 2016 Katko defeated the Democrat by 20 points.
