Former Henninger Star Athlete Arrested In Connection With Oneida Homicide

A standout Henninger High School athlete is the second person arrested following a homicide in Oneida County.

State Police have arrested Romero Collier in connection with the death of Tyler McBain earlier this month. Collier had been on the run after he and a second suspect, Travon Golden, led police on a chase down the Thruway.

Collier is a 2015 graduate of Henninger HS, where he was a standout basketball player.

Both men are accused of robbing McBain, then fatally shooting him before fleeing the scene.
