Oneida, N.Y. - New York State Police have arrested two men and charged them with sex crimes involving children.
Investigators arrested 37-year-old Jeffrey Shaffner, of Canastota, for first-degree rape and predatory sexual assault against a child after a family member found explicit texts and pictures sent between Shaffner and the child.
Troopers also announced that 36 year old Thomas Leddick, of Rome, has been arrested and charged with first-degree rape and predatory sexual assault against a child after he allegedly sexually abused a child under the age of 11.
