Officer-Involved Shooting Sends One Person To Hospital

An overnight officer involved shooting in Syracuse sent one person to the hospital.

A suspicious vehicle was spotted by Onondaga County Sheriff's detectives around 11 on the city's Northside. The occupants inside the car got out at Carbon St and Commonwealth Ave and started firing at officers. The detective who initially spotted the car fired back, and the suspects retreated. The SUV was found a short time later, with one individual suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
