Saturday Night Shootings Injure 12 In Syracuse

A violent Saturday night in the city of Syracuse left a dozen people injured.

Officers initially responded to the area of W Fayette and Wyoming Streets for a stolen car call. Moments later, shots rang out in a nearby parking lot, where a large party was wrapping up. Onondaga County DA Bill Fitzpatrick says that evidence at the scene suggests there were likely multiple shooters. Nine people were injured, including a 17 year old boy who is listed in critical condition.

Police responded to five other calls Saturday night. Three other people were treated at area hospitals with non life threatening injuries.
