Domestic Dispute Call Leads To Trooper-Involved Fatal Shooting

A State Trooper shot and killed a man after a lengthy standoff in Manlius.

The call came in around 3:30 pm for a domestic dispute. Numerous police units arrived at a home on Wilson Drive to find a man acting erratically. Witnesses claim the man initially approached officers with a baseball bat, but then displayed a BB gun and aimed it at officers. A State Trooper then shot the man in the abdomen. He was rushed to the hosptial where he died. The case is still under investigation.
