Onondaga County Auto Dealers Allowed To Open For In Person Sales

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County auto dealerships getting the green light to show and sell cars in person.

The deal was reached between County Executive Ryan McMahon and the Governor's office after negotiations via phone and in "written exchanges".

In a letter sent out by McMahon said dealerships must provide an outline of their procedures and protocals that will be followed.

Dealerships are required to take the necessary measures to practice social distancing and to sanitize all vehicles after each showing.

Onondaga County is the first place in the state where people can purchase cars in person instead of over the phone.

McMahon said in his letter, "our actions here in Cnetral New York will set a model for reopening across the entire State."
