Onondaga County Loses Another 3 People To COVID 19

Syracuse, N.Y.- Onondaga Coutny Executive Ryan McMahon announcing more bad news today.

Three more people have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 29.

The three recent victims were an African American woman in her early 70s, and a caucasian woman in her 90s, and a man in his 50s. All had underlying medical conditions.

McMahon said signs of hope are often followed by grim reality .

McMahon also said 476 people have recovered after getting sick enough to seek a COVID-19 test. That’s the vast majority of the 543 recoveries to date.

That means of the people whose battle with the illness is over, 543 have recovered and 29 have died.
