Two Are Hospitalized As COVID-19 Cases Soar in Onondaga County

Syracuse, N.Y. - There is a significant spike in the number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Onondaga County.

County Health Officials say that they are getting the first wave of several test results.

There are now 34 positive tests. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon says increased testing is the reason for a spike of 21 confirmed cases since Friday.

Of those 34 people sickened with COVID-19 two are in the hospital.

The virus has sickened more women than men.

13 cases are in those under 40, while nine are over the age of 60.
