Albany, N.Y. - The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in New York is still rising and not showing any signs of slowing down.
Health officials say there are now over 700 people being treated for the illness. The first coronavirus-related deaths have also been reported in New York.
With the number of illnesses increasing daily, Governor Cuomo is calling on President Trump to deploy the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to equip existing facilities like college dorms and military bases to serve as temporary medical centers to reduce the strain on hospitals.
