Onondaga, N.Y. - Onondaga County's AirOne helicopter was used to track down a burglar caught red-handed in the Town of Onondaga last night.
Sheriff's Deputies say that the homeowner discovered 55-year-old Nabil Shehadeh in his home, and the two began fighting. Shehadeh managed to get away and ran off into some woods near the house on Split Rock Road. Shehadeh managed to avoid capture until AirOne was called in and spotted him hiding underneath some brush.
He was arrested and is charged with burglary, robbery and weapons possession. He is expected to be arraigned today.
The victim sustained minor injuries during the attack and was medically treated at the scene.
