Syracuse Police Making It Easier To File Non-Emergency Reports

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse Police Department will be relaunching its Eserve and Teleserve systems. Its a way for citizens to report non-emergency incidents.

A pilot project of the service has undergone a soft roll-out, with a full launch expected this spring. The system will allow officers to focus on priority calls while people in citizens in need of assistance in filing a report are serviced without needing to have an officer on site. It allows citizens to file a report online or over the phone with the Department in lieu of waiting for a responding officer.

Those wanting to use the online reporting system E-serve can go to the E-Serve link on the Syracuse Police homepage. In order to use E-Serve a person must have an email address.

Those wanting to use the over the phone system, Tele-serve can call (315)-442-5207 to speak with an officer.

In the event that the Officer working the phone line is unable to answer, please leave a message with your name, phone number and a brief description of the incident and an Officer will return your call. )
