NYS DOT Meetings About Onondaga Lake Parkway Are Winding Down

Liverpool, N.Y. - New York State Department of Transportation officials are holding their second to last meeting regarding possible changes to Onondaga Lake Parkway this afternoon:

Currently, the State DOT is proposing changes that include reducing the parkway to one lane for a part of the road, creating a raised median and reducing the speed limit among other things.

DOT data show that the parkway is particularly dangerous compared to similar roads around the state.

The Open House today is from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The last one scheduled will be Monday night. Both will be held at the Liverpool Library.
