Syracuse police say a man they were looking to talk to in connection with a crime ended up being rushed to the hospital after apparently shooting himself.
Investigators say that the was found in the parking lot of the Camillus Walmart last night and when police tried to stop him, he took off and crashed his vehicle. Moments later, he was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
Law enforcement sources say that they were surprised by the man's actions given the crime they were investigating. No other information has been released about the case.
