William Wood Jr. To Undergo Mental Health Evaluation

DeWitt, N.Y. - The man who shot and killed two employees at a DeWitt Chili's will be undergoing a mental health evaluation.

Federal prosecutors say William Wood Junior will be tested for mental and intellectual disabilities before his death penalty trial begins. Wood has already pleaded guilty to state charges after admitting to murdering to his former co-workers back in 2018.

Depending on how long the evaluation process takes, Wood may not go on trial until 2021.

Despite what happens in the Federal Trial, Wood will spend the rest of his life in prison. He was sentenced in April, 2019 to a lifetime in State prison.
