Syracuse Police Believe They Have Found Missing SU Student

Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse Police Department believes they have located, Allan Gonzalez. He's the missing SU student who accidentally fell into the Onondaga Creek at Walton St. on January 19th around 3 A.M.

A multi-agency effort has been searching for Allan, including the Syracuse Police Department, Syracuse Fire Department, Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, and the New York State Police.

This morning around 11:00 A.M., a deceased individual was found submerged underwater by the State Police Dive Team with the use of side-scan sonar technology.

The area that the individual was located in was the creek near the 690 bridge.

That person is believed to be Gonzalez, but we are awaiting official identification from the Medical Examiner's Office to confirm.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division continue to be in contact with Allan's family.​
