Syracuse, N.Y. - Snow removal efforts in Syracuse are getting a boost thanks to the New York State Thruway Authority.
The agency is loaning the city a pair of plows for the rest of the winter. The city DPW says cleaning the streets can be tough sometimes due to an aging fleet of plows. DPW is asking City Hall to ask lawmakers for for over a million dollars to buy 10 new plows and three pickup trucks so they can be out on the road next winter.
