Sentencing Scheduled For Man Who Stabbed Another Man To Death In 2017

Liverpool, N.Y. - Sentencing is scheduled today for the man that stabbed another man to death in Liverpool in 2017:

Jacob Stanton was found guilty of beating and stabbing 25-year-old Jacob Giarusso to death, stuffing him in a car trunk and ditching the car at an apartment complex off Morgan Road. Lawyers noted the pair were longtime friends and would do drugs together.

Prosecutors argued that Stanton cracked his friend’s skull with a blunt object and then stabbed him numerous times at Giarrusso’s grandmother’s house. He threw chili across the bloody living room floor in an attempt to cover up the crime.

He faces up to 25 years to life in prison for murder.
