Oswego Police Officer Risks His Life To Save A Drowning Woman

Oswego, N.Y. - An Oswego Police officer made a daring rescue early Sunday morning

Officers responded to a call around 1am of a woman screaming for help near West Seneca Street. They located a 20 year old female in the river, struggling to stay afloat.

That's when officer Daniel Balloni jumped into the river, grabbed the woman and with help fromother officers was pulled to safety. Both were transported to the hospital, the woman is in stable condition, Officer Balloni was treated and released.

No word on how she ended up in the 42 degree water to begin with.
