Man Who Stabbed Two Women Shows No Remorse

Syracuse, N.Y. - A man who stabbed two women showed no remorse as he was sentenced.

Michael Powers pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder for stabbing his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s mother but says he’s not sorry. Powers broke into the home on Lackawana Lane in April and stabbed his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend Bianca and her mother, 55 year old Margarita Gonzalez.

Powers accused his ex-girlfriend of lying and threatening their children, which then motivated him to attack her.

Judge Matthew Doran called Powers' actions “absolutely horrific” and sentenced him to the maximum of 18 years in prison.
