Black Friday Shooter In Court

Syracuse, N.Y. - Lawyers for the man who shot another man in the leg at Destiny USA on Black Friday are saying he acted in self-defense

Kyree Truax, who faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, appeared in court for a bail hearing this morning.

His defense says that Truax fired his gun twice during a fight started by another group. One shot hit a man in the leg of the other bullet was found in the ceiling.

Truax's friend was stabbed and they fled the scene only to crash into a Centro bus.

Prosecution says he has a criminal history. Defense attorneys raised concerns about having the media in the courtroom.

His next court date is January 21, and his bail was reduced to $100,000 cash/$150,000 bond.
