SU Students Plan Peace Vigil Following Racist Incidents

Syracuse, N.Y. - A peace vigil is being held today at Syracuse University following a recent rash of racist incidents at the school:

The event is set for 4:30 p.m. on the steps of the Hendricks Chapel and is open to the public. The vigil will feature both a candle-lighting and student musical performance.

Meantime, University Officials say they are creating a webpage where the Department of Public Safety will post information about any bias-related incidents within 48 hours or less.

Police are still trying to track down who is responsible for putting racist graffiti in buildings around campus.
