Rochester, N.Y. - After years off the shelves, "Flutie Flakes" are set to make a comeback.
Starting next week, the cereal will be available for purchase at Wegmans stores in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. Proceeds will benefit the Doug Flutie Junior Foundation for Autism.
"Flutie Flakes" debuted in 1998 while Flutie played quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Over two million boxes of the cereal were sold.
Flutie will also be honored before the Bills play the Baltimore Ravens at New Era Field Sunday.
