Rochester, N.Y. - A 13-year-old hit by a car last week on James Street remains in critical condition this morning.
Zyere Jackson was hit after slipping and falling trying to avid being hit by a car after running out into the street outside Lincoln Middle School.
He was transferred to the Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester. The driver that hit him, was a mother picking up her son from school. Police say she has been cooperative with investigators.
Police have not written any tickets.
