Oswego Looks To Bans To Keep City Clean

Oswego, N.Y. - The Oswego Common Council is voting to move forward with a ban smoking, vaping and tobacco use on all city property.

The Keep Oswego Clean Initiative was proposed by Mayor Billy Barlow.

The measure will also double the fine for littering to $200 and increase the number of trash cans downtown and in city parks. The City will also start handing out reusable bags and ban Styrofoam.

A public hearing on the proposal is set for Mon., October 28th.
