Police Arrest Teen For Stealing Car, Crashing Into Tree

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse police say they were led on a high-speed chase in a stolen car by a 16-year-old.

Officers say they nearly caught the 16-year-old red handed burglarizing a home on Guilford Road early Sunday morning. Police say the teen sped off in a car near where a burglary had just happened. When police tried to pull over the teen he tried to escape but crashed into a tree at the intersections of Columbus and Lexington Avenues.

When the teen tried to to run away, police chased him down and arrested him.

Police say the car was stolen from the home on Guilford.
