Oswego County Spraying Again To Lower Mosquito Population

Oswego County, N.Y. - Oswego County officials will do more aerial spraying tonight to lower the mosquito population.

The health department says they'll be covering areas in Palermo, Mexico and Hastings this evening. The plan is to spray 12,000 thousand acres for the Toad Harbor Swamp in hopes of getting rid of insects that are carrying Eastern equine encephalitis.

Anyone who lives in the areas being sprayed is being asked to stay indoors between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
