Oswego Co. Says More Triple E Found, Another Horse Dies, Looking To Spray

Oswego, N.Y. - The Oswego County Health Department says that seven new mosquito samples in the village of Central Square, towns of West Monroe, Hastings and Constantia have tested positive for the Eastern equine encephalitis.

In addition to the test results, a second horse, this one in the town of Amboy has died of Triple E. Last week a horse in West Monroe died from the virus.

So far this summer, 22 samples of mosquitoes collected have tested positive for Triple E.

Oswego County plans to conduct aerial spraying of approximately 10,000 acres tonight starting at 6.
