NY DOT Shares Plans To Rehab Route 11 Bridge In Cicero

Brewerton, N.Y. - Neighbors from Hastings and Cicero gathered in Brewerton last night to learn more about the plan to replace the Route 11 bridge that connects Onondaga and Oswego Counties over the Oneida River.

State DOT officials say they want to keep the structure of the bridge, preserving the character and aesthetic, and will rebuild other portions of the bridge. To do that, crews will need to rebuild the bridge a lane at a time and use an alternating lane closures to move the cars trying to cross the river. Boaters will not be impacted.

Work on the bridge isn't likely until 2021.
