Parole Hearing Tuesday For Violent Rapist Who Broke Parole In Skaneateles

Syracuse, N.Y. - A hearing is set for today for the parolee that spent nearly two days on the run after cutting off his ankle monitor last month.

Christopher Block is a convicted kidnapper and rapist. A manhunt began after his GPS ankle monitor was found cut off in Skaneateles. The search ended after he was discovered in a wooded area near the Skaneateles Country Club.

The hearing is not a trial, as he does not face any new criminal charges for breaking parole. It is meant to decide whether he should go back to prison.
