Deerfield, N.Y. - A Deerfield man who shot and killed two people after they broke into his home will not face any charges.

64 year old Ronald Stolarcyzk, interrupted a burglary at his home and shot and killed the two suspects with an illegally owned handgun, according to police.

Killed were 57-year-old Patricia Anne Talerico, and her nephew, 27-year-old Nicholas Talerico, both from Utica.

Stolarcyzk was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, which was his deceased father's gun, which he never registered to himself.

The Oneida County DA said Stolarcyzk's actions seemed justified.
