Former Syracuse Cop Arrested For Witness Tampering

Syracuse, N.Y. - The former Syracuse Cop is free on bail this morning after he was arrested for threatening a witness.

Chester Thompson worked as a Syracuse Police officer for 18-years until he was fired in December 2015 for official misconduct. He would use his position as a cop to intimidate women into having sex with him.

Thompson was arrested again yesterday. This time for intimidating the plaintiff of a multi-million dollar lawsuit against him at the Sylvan Beach Amusement Park Friday night. He tried to get her to drop the case.

He will be back in Sylvan Beach Town Court next month to answer the new charge.
