Parents Ticketed For Leaving Infant In Hot Car

Cicero, N.Y. - An Oswego County mother and father were ticketed for leaving an infant in a hot car in Cicero.

State Police Officers say that the child was heard screaming in the parking lot of the Wegmans on Brewerton Road by a man around 11:00 a.m. Sunday. He grabbed a golf club from his vehicle and was able to wedge the club into a cracked car window and unlock the door.

Troopers say the 6-month-old was left in the car for about 20 minutes. EMS personnel looked over the baby and determined it was in good health.

Travis and Renee LePage of Cleveland were ticketed for child endangerment. They are expected to return to Cicero Town Court later this month.
