Mother And Daughter Stabbed During Cicero Break-In

Cicero, N.Y. - A mother and her daughter are continuing to recover this morning after being stabbed during a break in, in Cicero:

Police say that the daughter's ex-boyfriend, Michael Powers, broke in through a back window of their home on Lackawanna Lane Sunday Morning. Officers say the ex's began arguing and that's when Powers stabbed the woman in the face and head. When the mother tried to intervene she was repeatedly stabbed.

The daughter called 911. By the time police got their Powers was gone and remains at large. Officers say that they have been in touch with him and expect that he will turn himself in.

The daughter has been released from the hospital. Her mother remains in the hospital but is expected to recover.

A 3-year-old boy was home during the attack. He wasn't hurt and is being taken care by other family members.
