Democrats Look To Get Back To Work On Progressive Agenda

Albany, N.Y. - The State Legislature returns to Albany this week following their spring break.

Lawmakers say there is still more work to do before their session ends in June.

Pent-up Democrats have been busy since taking control of the Senate and Assembly -- passing bills that expand abortion and gun control as well as election reforms.

One item still to do is legalizing recreational marijuana. That legislation could've been part of the state budget, but negotiations stalled.

Other issues expected to be debated include rent control and improving toy safety.
