Salina, N.Y. - Onondaga County deputies say distracted driving was the cause of a crash in Salina.

It happened yesterday on Old Liverpool Road. Investigators say 41-year-old Scott Sherwood was paying attention to a pet in his car when his vehicle went off the road and slammed into a utility pole.

Sherwood and the animal weren't hurt. But, he was ticketed for driving with a suspended license.
