Town of Geddes, N.Y. - A Town of Geddes Account Clerk has been arrested for ripping off the Town.
Sharon Carhart is accused of bilking the town out of about 30,000 dollars. She did it as part of a health insurance scam.
Carhart faked documents saying she denied coverage and recieved 6,000 dollars meant for those who opt out. In addition,Carhart didnt pay her actual health insurance premiums, leaving the town to foot the bill.
Carhart is charged with grand larceny, falsifying records, and official misconduct
