Fingerlakes Bar Owner Gets 3 Years For Sex Assault On Passed-Out Woman

A Fingerlakes bar owner heads to prison after a video showed him sexually assaulting a bar patron.

Bob Champlin pleaded guilty to two counts of sex abuse in December. At Christmas in 2017, a video showed Champlin sexually assaulting a woman who had passed out in his Penn Yan bar. Champlin also assaulted another woman later.

Champlin will spend three years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. He also must register as a sex offender. Orders of protection for both victims were also issued.
