Internet And Phone Provider In Rural CNY Goes Bankrupt

A company that provides internet and phone services in rural areas has filed for bankruptcy protection:

Arkansas based Windstream has offices in Syracuse and Manlius, as well as workers in Rochester.

It has been found by a judge to be in default on its debt and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The company says it is "committed to operating its business as usual" and has secured $1 billion from Citi to support their operations.
