Clay Hit N' Run Driver Faces Up To 11 Years In State Prison

Syracuse, N.Y. - The man who admitted to running over a man riding his bicycle in North Syracuse back in June was sentenced today.

Vontelle Sparks will face 4 1/3 to 11 years in State prison. Sparks admitted to running over 27-year-old Lawrence Maturo while Maruto was on his way home after working out at the gym.

Sparks plead guilty last month to leaving the scene of a crash, tampering with evidence and vehicular manslaughter. In addition to Sparks, his mother, sister, girlfriend, and her father were also charged for their role in trying to cover up Sparks' role in the hit-and-run.
