Tops Has Plan To Emerge Out Of Bankruptcy

Williamsville, N.Y. - Federal Bankruptcy Courts are approving of Tops Markets' plan to emerge from bankruptcy.

The reorganization plan includes creditors wiping clear about half of the company's $715 million debt load in exchange for equity. It also includes the closing of 10 underperforming stores including one in Syracuse, Geddes and in Fulton.

Tops filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 in February.
