Syracuse Police Are Looking For Two Missing Children

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police say they are trying to track down two children that were taken by their father.

Officers say that they were seen last night leaving the Elmcrest Children's Center with their father Jaquan Joe. Joe was at the facility to visit Jaquan Joe Jr. and Shyla Lizana and the father left the facility with the children without permission.  The children are being held at the facility because of a custody battle between their parents.

Jaquan Joe Jr. (5 years of age) is described as being 3’6” tall, 50lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing blue pants, now shoes. Although he was wearing a shirt, there is no description of it.

Shyla Lizana (8 years of age) is described as being 4’3” tall, 75lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing blue pants, a blue and pink shirt, and no shoes.

Police say that they do not believe the children are in any danger, however, they need to be returned to the facility.
