Still No Point Guard As SU Tunes-Up For 2018-2019 Season

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse showed another strong performance in their final tune-up game before the start of the season. Cuse beat LeMoyne 89-52.

Point Guards Frank Howard, Jalen Carey, and Howard Washington remained on the bench Wednesday night nursing injuries.

Head Coach Jim Boeheim says they are doing okay without a point guard for now. "These games have been good for us because we've had an opportunity for Tyus (Battle) to play the point,"  said the Hall of Fame coach.  "We won't know anything until about game time next week, so we will see how the health of the point guards is over the next few days."

The Orange open their season on Tuesday against Eastern Washington at the Dome.
