After being nationally ranked for the first time in 17-years, the Bowl-Eligible Syracuse Orange have appeared in the College Football Playoff rankings for the first time ever.
The Orange came in at No. 19 and were the second-highest ranked team from the Atlantic Coast Conference behind No. 2 Clemson.
Despite being ranked, the Orange will not appear in the College Football playoff because only the Top-4 teams go head-to-head. Those teams are Alabama, Clemson, LSU, and Notre Dame. The Orange play the Fighin' Irish on Nov. 17 at Yankee Stadium.
The Orange are 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the ACC.
