Syracuse, N.Y. - This morning around 3 o'clock, Syracuse Police observed a red Toyota Scion at the intersection of Lodi Street and James Street.
The officer recognized this vehicle to be a reported stolen vehicle. As the officer tried to conduct a traffic stop the driver refused to pull over.
Police continued to pursue the vehicle until it finally pulled over in the 700 block of Hawley Ave. At this time, all the occupants fled on foot.
The driver Dwayne Hayes 18 was caught. The other occupants of the vehicle have not been located at this time.
Hayes was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.
He is in jail pending his arraignment.
