Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty

LaFayette, N.Y. - A Rome woman is facing animal cruelty charges after State Police had to rescue her dog during last weekend's LaFayette Apple Festival.

Troopers say that Dana Studer left the dog locked in the car for nearly two hours before they broke the window to get the dog out. They say that they used the PA system to try and contact her before breaking the window. The dog was in good health when it was rescued.
