Granby Animal Control Officer Pleads Not Guilty To Animal Cruelty

Granby, N.Y. - A former Granby animal control officer accused of animal cruelty was in court Tuesday.

Samantha Rizzo was in court to answer charges related to the neglect and abuse of a Pomeranian.

State Police say that the dog was brought to a veterinarian suffering a broken jaw. She pleaded not guilty to animal cruelty and to falsely reporting an incident.

She is due back in court on Oct. 16.
