Pete Davidson's Show in Syracuse Cancelled after Calling Syracuse "Trash"

posted by Cole Jarvis -

Funk n' Waffles, located in downtown Syracuse, has been planning to host a comedy show presented by Pete Davidson called "Pete Davidson Presents Joey Gay & Dave Sirus" for some time now.

However, Davidson recently appeared on the Howard Stern show where he spoke about his time in Syracuse saying "Dude, I was shooting a movie out in Syracuse. Syracuse, you know, it's trash," he then continued to say "Worse than Staten Island. The nicest hotel in Syracuse is, like, a f---ing Ramada."

Amid outrage and backlash coming from Davidson's comments the comedians who were scheduled to perform cancelled the event altogether.

Funk n' Waffles decided instead to host a "Cuse Comedy Showcase" where an all-local to Syracuse group of comedians will perform.

The event is free but only 18 and up.
