Troopers Arrest Former Grandby Animal Control Officer For Animal Abuse

Fulton, N.Y. - New York State Police have arrested a former Granby animal control officer and charged her with animal cruelty. 

Samantha J. Rizzo, age 46, from 64 Country Lane in Fulton, NY was charged with   Animal Cruelty, a class “A” misdemeanor. State Police responded to a complaint that an animal was brought to a local veterinary clinic where it was determined the male Pomeranian dog had suffered a broken jaw and multiple fractures to the head area.   

Investigation revealed the dog belonged to Rizzo. She was also charged with falsely reporting an incident after she denied knowing who owned the injured dog.  

Rizzo was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Hannibal Court for October 2, 2018 at 6 p.m.
