State Fair Day 9: Better Weather, Hanson, Foghat, and More!

Geddes, N.Y. - Despite a few brief showers that were preceded by some awfully muggy conditions 58,000 people visited the Fair yesterday.

Heading into more comfortable weather and the weekend, the Fair is up just shy of the 36,000 as compared to the first 8-days last year. Heavy rain and thunder forced the Fair to try and start the Lil' Yachty concert 15-minutes early but by 8:15 p.m. the Fair had to pack up the show because of lightning and thunder and call it a night.

Today is Armed Forces Day.  All current and retired members of the military can come to the Fair for free with ID. It's also 3 Dollar Thursday where anyone can get in for just $3.
